What cookies do
Cookies are small values stored by your browser. Hobiora Learning uses an essential cookie to recognise your account as you move between pages.
The current website does not use a marketing analytics or advertising-cookie service. Payment, meeting, and video providers may use their own technology.
Our sign-in cookie
This cookie is essential for account access and is not used to create an advertising profile.
- Name: __Host-hobbie_session.
- Purpose: keep you signed in and provide access to your classroom or authorised portal.
- Contents: a random session identifier, not your name, email, password, or payment details.
- Duration: seven days from sign-in, unless you sign out or remove it sooner.
- Security: the production cookie uses Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax settings to help protect the session.
Google sign-in
Choosing Google sign-in or connecting Google to an existing account sets the essential __Host-hobbie_google_signin cookie for up to ten minutes. It contains a random verification value used to match the authorisation response to your browser. It is cleared when the callback is handled.
This cookie uses HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax settings, with Secure on the production website. Successful Google sign-in uses the same seven-day Hobiora Learning session cookie as email and password sign-in. Google may use its own cookies on its account-selection and authorisation pages.
Connecting a teacher account
When an administrator starts connecting a teacher’s Google account, the essential __Host-hobbie_google_oauth cookie temporarily links the Google authorisation response to that browser. It contains a random verification value, not a Google access token.
This cookie expires after ten minutes and is cleared when the callback is handled. It is protected with HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax settings, and Secure on the production website. Students do not need this cookie to attend a class or watch an authorised replay.
Cookies during payment
Opening a paid checkout loads Razorpay’s payment service. Razorpay and payment providers may use cookies or device information to process payments and help prevent fraud.
Their privacy notices explain their technology and controls. Blocking it may affect the payment window or the payment method you choose.
Meeting and video services
Class and recording links may open services such as Zoom, Google Meet, Google Drive, YouTube, or Vimeo.
Those services manage their own cookies, sign-in preferences, and playback history. You can review their privacy notices and settings when you use them.
Managing your choices
Your browser’s privacy or site settings usually let you view, delete, or block cookies. You can also use our sign-out button to end your current session.
Public course pages are available without signing in. Blocking our sign-in cookie prevents account features from keeping you signed in; restricting third-party cookies may affect checkout or external playback.
Signing out and account recovery
Signing out ends the session in your current browser. Other signed-in devices are not automatically signed out. A successful password reset ends all existing account sessions.
Deleting cookies or signing out does not delete your enrollments, progress, reviews, or transaction records.
Cookies and your account records
Your learning history and payment records are held with your account; they are not stored in the sign-in cookie.
We also use limited security records to reduce repeated sign-in and payment attempts. Our Privacy policy explains these records and how to ask about your information.
Questions and updates
Contact us if you have a question about a cookie connected with Hobiora Learning. You can share its name and domain, but never send the value of a sign-in cookie or recovery token.
We will update this policy if our use of cookies changes, including any relevant notices or choices for additional services.
Contact & questions
For a question about this policy or a request relating to your account, contact Hobiora Learning. Include your registered email and the relevant course or order reference so we can understand your request. Never share your password, payment PIN, or one-time password.
