About this policy
This policy explains how Hobiora Learning handles information when you browse our website, create an account, enroll in a program, attend classes, or contact us. It also explains the choices available to you.
For a privacy question or request, use the support contact on this page or our Contact page. External payment, meeting, and video services have their own privacy notices.
Your account information
We collect your name and email address when you register. We also keep your account details and registration date so we can provide access and support your learning. Passwords are protected using hashing.
If you choose Continue with Google, we use the verified email, name, and Google account identifier returned during authorisation to create or recognise your student account. An existing account is connected to Google only through an explicit linking step while you are signed in. Google sign-in does not give us access to your Gmail, Calendar, Meet, or Drive, and we do not retain Google sign-in access or refresh tokens.
Your sign-in session expires after seven days. If you request password recovery, the recovery link is valid for 30 minutes and can be used once. Keep your password and recovery links private.
Contact enquiries and support
When you submit our Contact form, we collect your name, email address, selected subject, and message. We use this information to understand your enquiry, answer questions, and help with programs, enrollment, accounts, or payments.
Your enquiry is available to authorised academy administrators, who can review it and record when it has been resolved. Keep the reference shown after submission so that we can find your enquiry when you follow up. The form does not send an automatic confirmation email.
Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing messages. Please include only information needed for your request, and never send passwords, recovery links, full card details, UPI PINs, or banking OTPs.
Your learning records
We keep a record of your enrollments and the lessons you mark complete. These records help you return to your programs and follow your progress.
For connected Google Meet batches, we also keep batch membership, meeting participant identifiers, display names, and available join and leave times. An authorised administrator links a verified Google participant to your student account so your own attendance can appear in your classroom. Attendance does not automatically mark a lesson complete.
The progress shown in your classroom reflects completed lessons. Your instructor’s feedback and practice results are the appropriate way to assess speaking ability, shorthand speed, and other learning outcomes.
Reviews you share
If you are enrolled in a program, you can share a rating and written review. Your name, rating, review, and submission date may be displayed publicly on the program page.
Please avoid including private information about yourself or anyone else. You can update your review by submitting another review for the same program, or contact us for help with removal.
Payment information
Razorpay processes online payments. Your name and email may be used to prefill its checkout. Payment details you enter there are handled by Razorpay and the relevant payment or banking services.
We keep order references, the program purchased, the amount and currency, any coupon used, payment status, and transaction dates. We use these records to confirm enrollment, prevent duplicate processing, and resolve payment questions.
We do not store full card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, or banking passwords. Please never include these details in a support request.
Classes and recordings
Classes may take place through services such as Google Meet or Zoom. Depending on the class and meeting settings, a recording may include participant names, voices, video, shared screens, or chat. Ask your instructor about recording arrangements before participating and let them know about any concerns.
We associate published class and recording links with the relevant lesson so enrolled students can find them in their classroom. Recordings are held by the chosen video service, whose sharing, sign-in, and retention settings also apply.
For our connected Google batches, recordings stay in the teacher’s Google Drive. Hobiora Learning checks your sign-in, course enrollment, and batch membership before streaming a replay. We do not make those Drive files public. Academy administrators can access recordings to manage the program. Other recording providers may use external playback links with their own sharing rules.
Please keep class links and recordings within the intended learning group. A shareable recording link may be accessible to someone who receives it from another person.
Connected teacher Google accounts
When an administrator connects a teacher’s Google account with permission, we receive the account’s verified email and identifier. We use the authorised connection to create and update class events, configure meeting recordings, and retrieve the class recordings and attendance needed for the academy.
Google refresh credentials are encrypted on the server. They are not sent to students or used to access Gmail. An administrator can disconnect the teacher account, which removes the stored credentials and attempts to revoke Google access. Disconnecting stops future access through that connection; it does not itself delete existing Calendar events, Drive recordings, or attendance records already held by the academy.
Who may receive information
We share information as needed to provide the service, manage your account, and respond to requests. Providers used for your program may handle information in the locations where their services operate. Contact us if you need more information about those arrangements.
- Razorpay and relevant payment services process transactions and payment-related enquiries.
- Resend delivers password-recovery emails when that service is enabled. It receives your email address and the recovery message.
- Meeting and video providers handle information when you join a class or open a recording. These may include Zoom, Google Meet, Google Drive, YouTube, Vimeo, or another service identified with the lesson.
- Authorised academy administrators and hosting providers may access information needed to operate the website, deliver programs, maintain security, or provide support.
Security and website operation
We use account permissions, protected passwords, session expiry, and checks on sign-in and payment activity to reduce unauthorised access. No online service can guarantee complete security.
Website operation may involve connection information, such as an internet address, browser details, requested pages, and the time of a request. Limited records of account and payment attempts help us investigate errors and reduce misuse.
The current website does not include a marketing analytics or advertising-tracking service.
Cookies
An essential cookie keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Public course information is available without signing in.
Our Cookie policy explains the sign-in cookie and browser controls. Payment, meeting, and video providers may use their own cookies when you use their services.
How long information is kept
Account, learning, review, transaction, and contact-enquiry records remain on file until reviewed for deletion. A fixed general retention period for these records has not yet been published. Please contact us if you want to ask about a record or request its removal.
We keep support enquiries and their resolution details to follow up on your request and understand related questions. Marking an enquiry resolved does not automatically erase it. You can ask us to remove an enquiry; an open issue or an applicable legal requirement may affect what we can delete.
Some information may need to be retained to maintain course access, resolve a payment issue, or meet applicable legal obligations. The scope of any retained information should be explained when your request is reviewed.
Signing out does not delete your account or learning history. Removing a recording link does not erase a video held by an external provider. Providers and any backup services have their own retention arrangements.
Your choices and requests
You can ask about the information held for your account, request a correction, ask for account or review deletion, or raise a privacy concern. Send your request through our official support channel and include your registered email and a brief description of what you need.
We may need to verify your identity before sharing or changing account information. Requests are handled through support; any information that needs to be retained, or is held by another provider, requires individual review. The rights and response requirements that apply depend on the relevant law.
Removing information needed for sign-in or enrollment can affect classroom access. An account-deletion request is separate from a refund request.
Young learners and policy updates
A parent or guardian should contact us before arranging an account or program for a child so that participation and privacy arrangements can be discussed. Please also contact us about any concern involving a child’s information.
We may update this policy as our services or providers change. The date above identifies this version. Material changes to how information is used should be explained before they begin, with any notice or permission required by applicable law.
Contact & questions
